Husband-and-wife duo Mark Dantzer and Tracie Zody—he’s a wedding DJ and she’s a wedding planner—are adding another marriage-related resource to their resumes: the new podcast, Not Quite Newlywed. Dantzer and Zody currently are searching for four engaged couples to star in their show as Zody guides them through the highs and lows of planning a wedding, from creating a vision and budget right up to the big day. Each week, the podcast will feature one of four couples (with special guests appearing any time a month has five weeks).

“I always thought a show designed for couples planning their weddings could be valuable and compelling,” says Dantzer. “My initial ideas were all music-based … then I met my wife, Tracie, an experienced event planner. I suddenly realized we were in a unique position to use our respective backgrounds to provide relatable Q&A conversations with engaged couples, to both entertain and inform other couples preparing to tie the knot.”

Dantzer is no stranger to the recording studio; he’s been on Columbus airwaves for more than 20 years, appearing on WNCI, K95, Mix 97.1 and Mix 107.9. He’s also host of the Rock and Roll Bookclub podcast and Big Bad Music Trivia (at Yogi’s Bar and Grill in Dublin on Tuesdays, The Filling Station in Powell on Wednesdays and Lucky’s Bar and Grille in Hilliard on Fridays). He’s also been a mobile DJ for weddings and other events for more than 15 years.

Zody is no stranger to the wedding biz, either. She’s been an event planner for more than 20 years herself. She has contracted with Bliss Events for the last seven years and is in the process of starting her own company, Z Creative. She also owns Design Exchange, a special event rental company.

Applying to be a couple on the show is easy; just make a video to introduce yourselves, upload it to YouTube and email it to Dantzer. Your wedding must take place in 2018, and the submission deadline is April 20.

Full details on the submission process are available on Dantzer’s website
