Real Wedding Wednesdays: Katie Andria and David Moore

Katie and David Moore’s wedding had some traditional elements, and some not-so-traditional surprises, too.
Katie’s family has a tradition of setting up a cookie table at the reception. There, guests can choose from thousands of cookies baked by family members to eat for dessert or take home for later. (Folks from the Ohio Valley, especially southwest Pennsylvania, are probably pretty familiar with this custom.)
“A lot of my friends had never seen one before, but we have them at all our family weddings,” Katie says. “I like that all my family contributed and helped out making cookies.”
And the not-so-traditional part?
“My dad’s pants fell down before his speech/blessing,” Katie adds. “It was hilarious … and everyone was looking.”
Oh, and those darling champagne flutes from the main photo? They were hand-painted by Lisa Wells of Painted Treasures by Lisa. We included a larger photo of them on page 79 in the current issue, and only learned of Lisa’s business after the issue went to print.
