Real Wedding Wednesdays: Kimberly Holzaepfel and Lee Harrington

Kimberly and Lee Harrington first met in high school, but they’re not high school sweethearts; they actually fell out of touch post-graduation and reconnected through family and friends years later, Kimberly says.
When Lee was ready to pop the question, he took Kimberly to Lindey’s for lunch the day after Thanksgiving. After the meal, the couple walked from their favorite restaurant to their favorite park—Schiller Park in German Village.
Lee directed their steps to the park’s amphitheater stage, where he dropped to one knee and proposed. Unbeknownst to Kimberly, he had hired a photographer to document the entire event; the couple later used a photo from the proposal on their save the date cards.
Seven months later, the two said “I do” in front of what Kimberly calls the “wedding tree” at Brookside.
