Real Wedding Wednesdays: Wendy Lambert and Jared Kealy

Before we dive into this week’s real wedding, please join us in congratulating the couple we’re featuring; they will celebrate their first wedding anniversary this Sunday. Kudos, Jared and Wendy!

You could definitely say the pair had great chemistry from the start: Jared was Wendy’s organic chemistry tutor while they were undergrad students at Heidelberg University. Post-graduation, Wendy headed to Philadelphia, while Jared went to medical school at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. It was there, while Wendy was visiting—on their favorite beach, on a romantic night—that Jared asked Wendy to marry him.

Seven months later, the pair recited the vows they had written themselves; Wendy says Jared’s were what she remembers most about the wedding.

“It was brief and direct, but emotional—just like him,” she says.
