Real Wedding Wednesdays: Halle Secura and Chris Kost

You may remember Halle and Chris Kost’s wedding from our last issue; their unique boho-chic style is hard to forget. Halle stunned us in her custom peachy-pink silk organza skirt, worn over a black and white striped mini dress. While many only wish they could pull off something like that, Halle looked like she was born to wear it. Not to mention the couple’s handmade backdrop … swoon.
However, the details that didn’t make the issue are what we think really make Halle and Chris special. Their story sounds like it was made for the movies; incidentally, we think it might be plot of several of our favorites. They met at a mutual friend’s Christmas party, folks. Classic.
To propose, Chris took Halle on a drive down memory lane. They passed all the landmarks of their time together: Their old stomping ground, Corky’s, where they would sing karaoke and drink Summer Shandy; the first place they lived together; Halle’s favorite place, Bradstreet Landing. It was there, on a small bench overlooking the lake, where he popped the question. “It was him, my best friend, that was standing there, and that is all I cared about,” says Halle. “That moment was perfectly ours.”
Halle even walked down the aisle to a song Chris wrote and recorded. Seriously, someone call Richard Curtis, because we think we have the plot to a “Love Actually” sequel.
