Real Wedding Wednesdays: Anita Silva and Jarrod Coil

Abbey Anspach

There’s a reason your wedding is one of the best days of your life, and here’s a tip: It has nothing to do with elaborate centerpieces, lavish venues or decadent entrées. While Anita Silva Coil and Jarrod Coil’s wedding was indeed breathtaking, Anita says it was their friends and family who really made their big day one to remember.

Anita’s family traveled all the way from the West Coast and Brazil to attend the wedding, where they met Jarrod’s family, who lives in the Columbus area, for the first time. “Having our worlds collide was a dream come true,” says Anita.

Anita and Jarrod’s close friends and family, which they dub “framily,” continuously contributed to many of the couple’s favorite memories of the night. A special moment in particular was their first dance.

“As Jarrod and I are dancing, we start hearing almost a surround sound of singing,” Anita remembers. “As we looked out to the tables with our guests, we realized everyone was singing the song together. [It was] another fantastic moment to take in the celebration of our marriage and our framily together.”
