Real Wedding Wednesdays: Maranda Amornyard and Patrick West

Maranda Amornyard West and Patrick West threw a “classic romance”-themed wedding that is reminiscent of their proposal story, which reads almost like something out of “Sleepless in Seattle.” After meeting through a dating site and courting for just over two years, Maranda was finishing up an externship in New Jersey and New York. Two weeks before Maranda’s graduation, Patrick traveled to help her pack for her return to Ohio. After spending a day in the Big Apple, the couple travelled to the top of the Empire State Building, where Patrick surprised her with a ring.
During their wedding, Maranda and Patrick were sure to recognize the family members who couldn’t share in the day with them, making personal dedications in their memory. The couple says that the dedications and seeing their families were the most memorable parts of the day, aside from walking down the aisle.
Fun fact: Maranda’s sister, Mindy Ettish, got married just five months prior to Maranda. You can check out her wedding right here on the blog next week!
