Real Wedding Wednesdays: Kelly Infield and Chadwick Kulchar

Tristan Relet-Werkmeister

As teenagers, Kelly and Chadwick Kulchar lived in the same city near Cleveland and went to the same high school, but never met each other there. Through mutual friends, they finally encountered as adults and bonded over their high school memories.

The couple dated for three years until one day, when Kelly, a teacher, walked into her classroom. There, all her fourth grade students lined up holding a sign saying, “Will you marry me?” Chadwick had prepared this proposal with the whole class and the principal of the school. (His proposal plan was so cute, in fact, that we wrote an entire story about it!)

A family member officiated the wedding and made it very personal; they also had a wine box ceremony. In lieu of physical favors, the Kulchars decided to give back to the community by making a donation in their guests’ honor to a family public service group. (More on that in our recent story about philanthropic wedding favors.)
