Real Wedding Wednesdays: Haley Fowler and Landon Slater

Everyone celebrates their love in different ways. Some couples choose a massive wedding where they can tie the knot in front of the whole world. Others, like Haley and Landon Slater, prefer to keep it as intimate as possible.
Haley and Landon went to the same high school and have been inseparable ever since. After dating for seven years, it took just a three-month engagement to prepare for the wedding, which was the definition of DIY. The ceremony and reception took place at Haley’s grandparents’ home; Haley did her own hair and makeup, and her bosses provided the invitations, catering and cake. With no wedding party and the groom’s sister officiating, things could not have been more personal.
Haley says she cherishes the many beautiful moments the ceremony provided, but one aspect of the day stuck out as the most memorable: rain.
“It rained several days before and continued to pour during the big day,” she says. “Luckily my stepdad ordered tents as a plan B, since our entire day was taking place outdoors. The rain made everything more beautiful in color, creating images that we adore and will cherish forever.”
