Thinking about taking your kids to see one of Columbus’ great cultural organizations during their upcoming season? Why not go for a trial run during “An Evening of Dance with BalletMet”?

This year marks the 23rd year the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department has partnered with BalletMet on a community event. The free performance, formerly known as Rhythm on the River, takes place at 8 p.m. Aug. 30 at the scenic Bicentennial Park, 233 Civic Center Drive (Downtown), along the Scioto Mile.

The show will feature excerpts from BalletMet’s upcoming season. The performance is designed to be family-friendly, making it a great opportunity to introduce children to the arts. The park, with its wonderful water fountain and great views of Downtown, is an ideal backdrop for a family outing.
