Happy anniversary to SEVEN couples!
Buckle in, y’all—we have a lot of celebrating to do. Sept. 21-22 was a popular weekend for weddings among our couples; two of them tied the knot on Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, and five more said “we do” the following day. Let’s learn a bit more about them:
Nicole and Alejandro Diaz celebrated their marriage on Sept. 21 last year with a ceremony and reception at Vue Columbus; you can see their Real Wedding Wednesday feature at the link.
Jessie and Scott Gerlach’s Sept. 21 wedding and reception took place at Dock580; they were featured in our Real Wedding photo gallery.
The next day, at the Hilton Columbus at Easton, Flo and Jim Westlake were wed in what Flo calls an entirely memorable day. The pair opted for a coed wedding party, which saw Jim’s two sons and two daughters on his side, and Flo’s best friend, daughter, sister and brother on hers. Family interactions were among the most memorable aspects, Flo says. “My family is of Kenyan background and Jim’s family is from Zanesville, Ohio,” she explains. “It was beautiful and lovely seeing how our families and friends interacted.” The couple told us about their most-loved wedding imagery in their Our Favorite Photo feature.
Meanwhile, high school sweethearts Katelynn Dougherty and Ben Lautzenheiser were celebrating at The City Club of Columbus. Their rustic-glam wedding and reception were the subject of a recent Real Wedding Wednesday post.
In Downtown Columbus, Alicia Lawrenz and Mark Snodgrass were getting hitched at the Kelton House. Their intimate wedding sported a Victorian garden theme and can be seen in our Real Wedding gallery.
While you’re there, also check out the Real Wedding gallery of Michelle and Aaron Babbert, who were wed by Michelle’s father at Grove City United Methodist Church. Their reception took place nearby, at the Aladdin Event Center. Want more of this couple? Check out their Our Favorite Photo feature, too.
Finally, there’s Jennifer and Henry Thomas. They, too, were featured in the Our Favorite Photo series, but we don’t want to give away too much about this couple. They’ll be the stars of this week’s Real Wedding Wednesday, so be sure to come back on Wednesday to see more.
And that just about does it. From all of us at Columbus Weddings to all 14 of you: Congratulations, and happy anniversaries!
