Columbus Library Hosts Free Family Programs

The Columbus Metropolitan Library has three events on tap this month as part of its Family Programs at Main Library series. All are free and open to the public.

Music in the Atrium

3-4 p.m. Nov. 10

Celebrate Mexican Independence Day with Latin American music by the trio Flautango.

Music in the Atrium

6:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 14

Opera Columbus presents a musical and spoken-word performance. “The Voice of Freedom: Civil Rights” will introduce audiences of all ages, races and religions to the operatic art form by celebrating African American cultural history through song. The production will highlight gospel, jazz and works from the Civil Rights Movement.

Holiday Open House

6-8 p.m. Nov. 20

See the official launch of the Huntington Holiday Train. Create holiday crafts, listen to live music and sample refreshments. Special guests will attend.

All programs take place at Main Library, 96 S. Grant Ave., in Downtown Columbus.
