Zoo visitors might catch a glimpse of Lee, the father of the new polar bear cub born Nov. 28 to Aurora. The cub is not expected to make its public debut for several more months.

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is offering free admission Jan. 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Can’t make it? Visitors also can take advantage of free admission on Feb. 17 for Presidents Day.

The zoo will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 20 and Feb. 17—both of which are days off school for most Central Ohio students. Visitors still will pay $10 per car for parking.

The zoo also is offering half-price admission every day through Feb. 29.
