Real Wedding Wednesdays: Danielle Nagel and Alex Press

Danielle and Alex Press’ relationship first began as a workplace romance at Cap City Fine Diner in Gahanna. Alex even recalls that the first time he saw Danielle, “she took [his] breath away and he immediately called ‘dibs’ to the guys standing with him in the kitchen.” They spent years establishing a great friendship before they began dating.
After four and a half years of dating, Alex took Danielle and her daughter, Hayley, to the median of Easton Way—the spot where he first professed his love to her—during rush hour traffic. There surrounded by twinkle-lighted trees for the holiday season and the glow of the setting sun, Alex proposed while a photographer, hidden in the distance, captured “the most perfect candid photos,” Danielle says. Finally, Alex surprised Danielle with her best friend from New York City. All these ingredients lead to one sweet treat: an incredible proposal.
The couple continued this spirit of romance by exchanging letters before the ceremony. During the wedding, personal touches from the newlyweds were felt all throughout the celebration. The couple gifted guests with handmade sweets from a cookie table and had handcrafted batch cocktails provided; they also ordered pizza from The Eagle for a late night snack. Danielle and Alex said one of their most memorable parts of the night was “dancing all night long with family and friends.”
