Real Wedding Wednesdays: Zach King and Kacey Wright
Zach and Kacey Wright-King met through Zach’s sister, Ashley Wolf, who worked with Kacey at Cardinal Health. Ashley helped set up a blind date between the pair, who met at Matt the Miller’s Tavern in Dublin and spent more than four hours getting to know one another, Zach says.
The couple dated for a year and a half before Zach proposed to Kacey. Zach secretly rented out The Seasoned Farmhouse, a recreational culinary school in Columbus, where Kacey was under the impression that the two were attending a couple’s cooking class. “When we arrived,” Zach remembers, “the staff mentioned how the other couple had to cancel—to make the story believable—therefore we would be fortunate enough to have a ‘personal’ cooking class.”
After a private dinner, Zach presented to Kacey a plate with a ring and a slice of cheesecake, with “Will you marry me?” written on it in chocolate. The two spent a year engaged before tying the knot at the Hilton Columbus Downtown hotel, where Zach says the most memorable part was that they got to spend the entire day with family and friends, all in one place.
