Located in the heart of German Village, Lindey’s has long been a favorite choice among couples to host rehearsal dinners, brunches, engagement parties and bridal showers.

“Lindey's is an iconic business in the city,” says Grant Cassidy, director of catering and sales. “We go above and beyond what others in the city do. We strive for excellence in all aspects.”

Creating dishes ranging from brioche French toast to jumbo lump crab cakes to tournedos of beef, chefs and dedicated event coordinators work with couples to make their occasion a success, assisting with flower arrangements, cake set-up and presentation needs.

The private upstairs rooms accommodate parties large and small. Depending on the celebration, guests can choose among the regal Library room, the Mohawk room with plush seating or the bright and welcoming Terrace room.

Established in 1981 by Sue Doody, Lindey’s is known for its genuine hospitality. Why the restaurant continues to be relevant after nearly 40 years in business is best summed up by customers, Cassidy says. “Taken from a review, I like what it says about us: ‘Jovial crowds gather at the copper-topped bar or on the beautiful patio to partake in perfectly poured cocktails and delicious American bistro fare … superb service and a chance to rub shoulders with local celebrities sweeten the deal.’ ”

When it comes to menu planning for the big day, Cassidy says to make it personal. “Choose something that you will enjoy,” he advises. “A menu that talks about you, your faves, items that you may have had on a first date. Really try to pick a menu that tells your story. Don't worry about your guests’ likes and dislikes so much. It's your big day. Make it about you.”
