Styled Shoot: Contemporary Farm Wedding

It’s been some time since we featured a styled shoot around these parts, so we’re excited to share this bright and airy styled shoot that has gorgeous summer vibes.
“Madelyn and Marcus are busy, young entrepreneurs active in the Columbus community. They wanted a wedding that spoke to their style,” says Berlyn Martin of Berlyn Events & Design, who designed the shoot. “So we set to work crafting a shoot that combined their cosmopolitan tastes with the inherent hospitality of the heartland.” Texture was a cornerstone of the shoot, she adds, as was a “bold and unconventional” color palette of gold and black.
“Everywhere you look is something unexpected! Even the cake, with hundreds of hand molded bas relief florals, adds to the excitement,” Martin says. “Installations and centerpieces by Bear Roots Floral incorporated dried, foraged elements amidst fresh blooms to create an aesthetic that's modern with a touch of wild. A mixed media invitation suite embodies the effortless sophistication showcased in every element of this contemporary wedding inspiration; perfectly marrying bold, dramatic details with an otherwise soft and feminine design and transforming any notion you've ever had of the traditional Ohio ‘farm’ wedding.”
