Feb. 20, 2021 | A winter wedding isn’t for everyone, but considering Brianna (Barnard) and Jason Schriner’s backstory, it seems like the perfect fit. The pair met in December 2012 as Ohio State students during a ski trip to Colorado. And the proposal? It happened on top of a mountain in Vail, Colorado. “We love winter and snowboarding,” Brianna says. “We were really hoping for snow [on our wedding day], and it had snowed a few inches the night before.” Still, big the day itself was bright and sunny, she adds, with “an amazing sunset, too.”

The Schriner’s intimate wedding at the Columbus Museum of Art included just 20 guests, plus four bridesmaids, six groomsmen and a ring bearer. It was followed by dinner at Due Amici.

“With only 20 people, it was so intimate yet elegant and made us feel like it was truly meant to be that way,” says Brianna, who owns custom stationery and calligraphy company BB Letters. “[We] just truly loved all of our vendors and how hard they worked to make our COVID wedding so special!”

The newlyweds honeymooned in St. Lucia, and celebrated with a larger, formal reception at The Fives in August 2021.
