A dollar makes a difference
These are troubling times indeed. Most of us are re-evaluating our spending on everything from drive-through coffee to movie tickets. And as companies fail, we may wonder which organizations in our society are solid; which are doing the most good. How can we make the smartest choice for our dollar?
Non-profits rely mostly on public donations to operate. Some receive funds through the government, but we all know how that spending is going. Charities are trying desperately to keep their heads above water to serve those who depend on them.
