It can be challenging to find a vacation that's just right for every member of the family. But Smugglers' Notch offers something for everyone. In fact, Smugglers' is so sure that you and your family will have a good time that they guarantee it.*

First, choose the size of lodging you need. From a one bedroom mountainside condo, to an area that will accommodate you and your extended family, you can pick what works best for all of you. If you can tear yourself away from enjoying the mountain views from your cozy condo, you'll want to check out all the fun and unique things to do. In addition to the lodging, packages include the Summer Fun University programs for children and adults.

"Our FamilyFest package contains many inclusions - of which children's camps are probably of most value to parents - but we urge families to check out our Resort Information Guide for additional programming, like geocaching or llama trekking, that might be of interest," said Bob Mulcahy, Smugglers' president.

Smugglers' award-winning children's programs are broken down according to age:

  • Discovery Dynamos for ages 3 and 4
  • Trail Blazers for ages 5 and 6
  • Adventure Rangers for ages 7 to 10
  • The Notch Squad for ages 11 to 15
  • Mountain Explorers for ages 16 and 17.

For the youngest in your crowd, there's the state-of-the-art childcare center, Treasures, for ages 6 weeks to 3 years. There even are activities for adults. Day trips, arts and crafts classes, wellness programs, hiking, and Segway tours are just a few of the programs geared to those of us who are young at heart.

The resort itself is actually set up like a village. Along with the condominiums, there are restaurants, lounges, a sport shop, tennis courts, a driving range, swimming pools, hot tubs and more rides than I can begin to list. There is a full-service conference and banquet center, a U.S. Post Office and a country store. And Smugglers' offers even more activities to keep you and your crew happy, such as:

  • Smuggsational family social
  • Magic shows
  • Vermont Country Market
  • Bird watching
  • Family Splash Down party
  • Horseshoes
  • The Wacky Wizard science show
  • Shuffleboard
  • Bingo
  • Family karaoke
  • Skate park, disc golf, volleyball
  • Family movies
  • Family games and dance parties
  • Mini golf and more..

Families can choose to do activities together, or children can enjoy the programming while mom and dad have a chance to reconnect and unwind. And while the activities at Smugglers' may seem limitless, you're free to do as much or as little as you choose. With the sign-in program, you're not obligated to participate in activities that do not interest you. In fact, if your idea of a great vacation is simply to take in the beautiful scenery and fresh air with a good book, then you're free to do just that.

Activities manager Stacey Comishock said, "As America's family resort, we try very hard to develop programs that appeal to different interests and age groups so that all of our guests have the opportunity to create special vacation memories."
