Dublin Irish Festival

It's time to get your Irish on because the Dublin Irish Festival opens tomorrow and runs through Sunday. Even if you weren't one of our lucky ticket winners, it's still a reasonably priced and family friendly event worth visiting.

Some of our favorite spots to visit in the sprawling Coffman Park set-up include: the spooky storytellers (there really is nothing like the magic of live storytelling), the thundering dancers (performing on several stages: just listen for them, you can't miss them), the Wendy's Wee Folks Area ($10 gets your kid unlimited use of all kinds of inflatable games, a rock-climbing wall, and more; and most critically, grown-ups can sit around the outside at some of the picnic tables and quaff an adult beverage while keeping an eye on their wee ones), and we loved joining in with the other Red Heads for the daily group photo taken off all the red heads on the premises (it really is a sight worth seeing, even if you don't have the flaming-red or strawberry hair to be in the photo).

For all the information you would ever need, visit their website at www.dublinirishfestival.org. We highly recommend buying your tickets online ahead of time and printing them out. It definitely saves time in line when you get there.
