Christmas Corner is about to open and so is our Facebook giveaway contest for tickets to BalletMet's Nutcracker. Tune into our Facebook on Thursday at noon for a chance to enter and win one of three family four-packs of tickets we'll be drawing winners' names for on Friday at noon!

Now about that Christmas Corner - the State Auto Christmas Corner display at 518 E. Broad St. in downtown Columbus officially opens tomorrow night…though we've all been enjoying watching it get built for several weeks now.

The Christmas Corner has been a Central Ohio tradition since the 1930s and features a life-size Nativity display with more than 75 human and animal figures of the Nativity.

The display is lighted in a special ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 5:30 p.m., and remains lighted through Jan. 1. Local choral groups perform on weekend evenings at the display, which is free and open to the public.

Please visit during the Christmas season for more information about Nativity activities and check out our Holiday Lights Guide for more displays.
