Year in Review

Columbus Parent

The January issue of Columbus Parent comes out next week but, just as we did last year, we thought we'd use the last Daily Bulletin of 2011 to round up some of our personal favorite articles on the year gone by! Hope you enjoy this trip down memory lane!

January blew in and with it came a great Parent Profile from Chris Spielman who gamely filled out our fun Q&A.

With February, our Playground Patrol reviewed a great (now not-so-) new indoor playspace at the Grange Audubon Center in downtown Columbus.

Our favorite story in March's summer-camp guide issue profiled Camp Sunrise, a very inspiring camp for kids whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS.

April's Eating Out with Kids review featured a memorable visit to a Japanese steak house.

In May, we headed back outside for outdoor adventure and campfire cooking

June took us on a day trip to go ziplining in Hocking Hills, while July brought an inside look at a quinceanera party

Our Go-To Guide in August was filled with fun details about visiting the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

One of our most-shared articles for the year was the "Daring to Be Modest" story in the September issue.

Our first venture into a multi-media story was the very memorable story of the day that Leona Doenges was born.

And our other most-shared article for the year was "Forever Family," the story of two Worthington dads who have adopted eight kids.

Finally, what month (and year) would be complete with family fun? Thanks to our Hands On feature, every month has brought a great project to do together and in December, we made snow globes

We hope 2011 was just as fun and memorable for you, too! Thanks for reading along and here's a great 2012, Columbus parents!
