Downtown film fans celebrated the opening of Studio Movie Grill in the Arena District in January. And even with its myriad adult-crowd offerings - Brews-N-Views, anyone? - the dinner-and-a-movie theater hosts a lot of family-friendly events, too. Particularly noteworthy is a series of Special Needs screenings of movies that are free for children with special needs and their siblings; during these screenings the lights are left on and the sound is turned down to accommodate the audience. The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium has been participating in One Million Actions for Planet Earth. The multi-city program encourages users to record their sustainable and eco-friendly activities to raise money from donors for the user's zoo conservation project of choice. Inspired in part by busy daddy duty with his 6-year-old daughter, Web Smith, the co-owner of menswear shop Mizzen + Main, worked with business partner Kevin Lavelle to develop the wrinkle-free, sweat-resistant fabric of their Blackman 2.0 dress shirt.
