American Red Cross of Greater Columbus


This site provides a variety of preparedness tools for home, work or school. It includes an interactive online course that lets users develop customized lists for items to include in emergency kits.

Franklin County Emergency Management and Homeland Security


This site includes important notices regarding health emergencies, natural disasters and preparedness. It includes countywide evacuation plans and links to where you can register your cell phone with the Telephone Emergency Notification System (TENS). It is linked directly to the National Department of Homeland Security.

National Weather Service


A service of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, this site provides the ability to search for local weather alerts, warnings and forecasts as well as view satellite images of weather conditions around the world.

Nationwide Children's Hospital


Find an urgent care center close to your home and download a free parent resource guide. Also provides a listing of available classes and workshops.

Columbus Public Health


This site provides local information on health and environmental emergencies. You also can find additional information on the city's "Ready in 3" emergency preparedness program.
