Olives for dinner?

Staff Writer

Over a Bloody Mary at Surly Girl Saloon (so technically a Surly Mary), the conversation turned to how surprisingly meaty green olives are. Unlike black olives, these guys are so substantial you start to feel full after eating just a few. Especially if they're stuffed with something delcious, like blue cheese.

It got me thinking about whether any of the fancy olive appetizers popping up on menus around town--I've seen gorgeous olive plates at Marcella's and Mouton recently--could work as an actual meal. Honestly, olives for lunch is more likely than olives for dinner. But now I'm on the hunt for the heartiest olive appetizers in town. So tell me, who does it best?
