Restaurant Regular: Mr. Sushi
Over the past three years, 16 days is the longest stretch Jamie Foltz has gone without eating at Mr. Sushi in Dublin.
That’s because Foltz, director of special events for Ronald McDonald House Charities, was on a trip to Mexico—and when she arrived home, she drove straight from the airport to order some sushi.
Here’s why she loves it.
How often do you eat here?
Two to three times a week, including takeout. I start craving it at 9 in the morning. That’s when the emails go out to friends to make plans to come here.
Why this sushi restaurant over others in town?
The food is always fresh and the servers are amazing. I know them by name. They have a better sushi selection. Plus, pricewise, it’s great.
The location is nice, too, because it’s in downtown Dublin and you can walk somewhere else after dinner.
What are your favorite rolls?
I always order the Kinky roll and the Naruto roll. The Kinky roll is a spicy crab stick covered with shrimp, crab and avocado. I also add asparagus to it. The Naruto roll isn’t heavy because it’s wrapped in cucumber.
Do your friends love Mr. Sushi too?
I brought my brother and he loved it. I came here on a first date and he loved it. People are always impressed and they love the options.
