Scoop: Dining options at Hills Market Downtown
The much-anticipated Hills Market Downtown, set to open March 19 on North Grant Avenue, will not only be a new specialty grocery option for Downtown residents and workers, it'll also bring new dining options.
An extensive selection of grab-and-go sandwiches and salads (plus a full salad bar!) will be catered to the Downtown lunch crowd, as will a changing-daily selection of sushi rolls made on-site during peak hours.
And on Sundays, Rosa Huff from the popular mobile option Crepes a la Carte will serve brunch out of the front of the store, with seating available inside and out.
"Her menu will be savory and sweet selections that are favorites from her current menu," Hills Marketing Director Jill Moorhead said. "She'll also be doing specials and using Hills Own products."
Hills also partnered with Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams to create a special, limited-time flavor to celebrate the new store. Called Hills Carrot Cake & Sweet Cream, it's made with Hills' popular carrot cake (made in-house with fresh carrots, cinnamon, pecans, pineapple, raisins and cream cheese frosting).
Pints will be available for sale exclusively at The Hills Downtown and Worthington stores-and it'll be sampled frequently during the new store's opening week.
