Daily Growler expanding to Powell

Upper Arlington growler shop, The Daily Growler, will be opening a second location in Powell this summer, shooting for a July opening at 258 W. Olentangy St., just west of the city's downtown neighborhood.

In addition to filling your growler to-go, the new bar will also don a patio that will seat up to 25 people to enjoy beer on-location, says Daily Growler owner John Blakely. The Powell location will also continue to demonstrate Blakely's love for craft beers. "I grew up drinking Natty Light like most people," Blakely says. "But I have come to love how craft beers are made the same way wine is-with a lot of thought and consideration." Needless to say, there is no Natty Light at either bar.

The new location will also sell The Daily Growler's signature root beer "for kids and designated drivers," he says, and will also carry exclusive collaboration beers from Hoof Hearted and Actual Brewing.
