Jeni's releases limited edition treat for The Wex anniversary

Making ice cream is an art, and Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is proving that with its new limited edition ice cream bar created in honor of The Wexner Center's 25th anniversary exhibition.
The Gia-CONE-metti J-Bar was inspired by Swiss sculptor and painter Alberto Giacometti. Though it may look like a typical chocolate-dipped ice cream bar on a stick, the J-Bar's real surprise is inside-a chocolate-filled cone in the middle.
Only 1,000 bars have been made and will be for sale at Jeni's Short North shop starting tomorrow, Sept. 19, and at the Wexner Center store starting Sept. 21. The release at the Campus art center is timed up with the public opening of the anniversary exhibition "Transfigurations: Modern Masters from the Wexner Family Collection".
The exhibit will feature works by Giacometti, as well as the personal collection of Leslie and Abigail Wexner, including pieces by Pablo Picasso and Jean Dubuffet. (Columbus Monthly shared a sneak peek at the collection this month.) It will open to the public on Sunday, and will run through Dec. 31. To ensure a great experience, the Wex will be limiting the number of visitors, asking ticketholders to choose a 30 minute window to enter the gallery.
