Where to eat on Black Friday

Unlike the day before, Black Friday isn't a day known for eating. But to keep you from dropping after all the shopping, you've got to refuel at some point, right? We've got a few suggestions on where to grab a bite around Easton and Polaris-or where to head if your plan is to avoid the mall at all costs.
If you're skipping the mall:
Due Amici is hosting a Black Friday Bloody Mary Brunch. For $15, get brunch and a cocktail at the Gay Street restaurant.
Stock up on vino for the holidays at La Tavola in Grandview. They're hosting a Pop Up Wine Shop from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The restaurant will offer state minimums on every bottle of wine and 10 percent off cases. There will be samples of all wines for sale (so you can try before you buy), and each bottle will come with tasting notes and suggested food pairings.
Powell gastropub Kraft House No. 5 will be passing out a limited number of gift cards to Elm & Iron and The Port to a few lucky diners on Friday. They'll also be offering gift card and growler deals, including buy $100 gift card, get an extra $25, and $15 growler fills on all winter and Christmas ales all day.
And if you're feeling you need something light to balance out all that stuffing,
If you're around Easton:
Have dessert for breakfast. Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams opens at 7 a.m. There's no reason to wait until noon to get some Middle West Whiskey Egg Nog or Dark Chocolate Peppermint. Better yet, go for coffee-inspired Intelligentsia Black Cat Espresso.
If you really need a cup of coffee to get going, swing by Rost, a kiosk on the first level of theEaston Station Building. This small-batch Columbus roaster offers direct trade coffee.
In the mood for something new? Two eateries recently opened at Easton: pizza and beer focused (and family friendly!) Pies & Pints (4205 Weaverton Lane) and Arizona-based Kona Grill (4087 New Bond St.).
If you're around Polaris:
Don't forget that the northern location of homey Italian eatery Marcella's is open for lunch. Their lunch combo-a choice of any half panini or pizza with a cup of tomato basil soup or chopped salad-for $11.49 is a steal.
Get a free guacamole appetizer at Mod-Mex eatery Cantina Laredo with the purchase of an entree.
If you're feeling a post Turkey Day diet is in order, head over to Mellow Mushroom and check out their Skinny 'Shroom menu with a list of options under 600 calories.
Need a drink? The Pub Polaris kicks off happy hour at 3 p.m. with $4 appetizers and drink specials, including $5 select wines, $6 martinis and $ Schooner drafts.
