The seven-day taco diet

Beth Stallings, Columbus Crave

As most are resolving to exercise more or eat better, I have promised to do one simple thing in 2015: eat more tacos. To get the New Year off right, for the next seven days I will be eating tacos at local eateries for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The idea is to prove that Columbus has not just some of the best tacos around, but also a variety of delicious styles-from fancy iterations to classic, no frills combos. I have my week, starting strategically on Taco Tuesday, carefully planned out to save me from palate fatigue, rotating between vegetarian, seafood and slow-roasted meat versions. (Today, my day started with the slightly spicy and fresh breakfast tacos from Katalina's in Harrison West.)

Truth be told, this seven-day taco diet is research for a feature I am writing for the March issue of Crave. If you can't wait until the issue comes out, you can get a sneak peek of where I've headed by following me on Instagram or Twitter at @CraveEditor.

If you need a break from your juice cleanse, eat tacos along with me. Tag your photos of locally made tacos with #cravetacodiet. You just might see your photo show up in the spring issue of Crave.

(Tacos not your thing? As always, you can use the hashtag #CraveCbus to share where you're eating now. We'll share our favorite pics in the next issue of Crave.)
