CraveWorthy: New flavors from Darista Dips

Beth Stallings, Columbus Crave

Thanks to Dara Schwartz, we'll never think of chip dip or hummus the same way again. She hooked us last summer with the launch of her vibrant-in color and flavor-Darista Dip line featuring a trio of spreads made with whole ingredients (no artificial flavors here). Beets are the real star of the roasted beet hummus, and carrots and harissa steal the show in the Moroccan carrot dip, says Schwartz, whose dips are a spinoff of her popular global pop-up eatery Darista Cafe at The Hills Market. This spring, Schwartz is further feeding our cravings, crafting two new styles: Zah-Mazing Za'atar (an herbaceous take on traditional hummus spiked with za'atar and pomegranate molasses)and Que Bueno Piquillo (Spanish-style roasted red pepper hummus with sweet piquillo chili peppers, sherry vinegar, smoked paprika and almonds).
