Mexican food truck Dos Hermanos will fill the last open space at the North Market.

"We have heard numerous times from North Market patrons… Ok, so you have everything but Mexican. Well, no more," said Rick Harrison Wolfe, North Market's executive director, in a release. "Dos Hermanos is the perfect choice to fill this cultural niche at the market."

The stand is expected to open on Oct. 1 and will put the market at full capacity.

Vicente and his wife Lisa Gutierrez built Dos Hermanos' menu around Mexican recipes from Vicente's grandmother. Steak, chicken, pork, barbacoa and chorizo tacos are served on corn or flour tortillas and topped simply, with onion and cilantro. They also serve fresh salsa and tamales.

"As frequent market shoppers, my husband and I enjoy the upbeat and culturally diverse atmosphere, but felt there was a missing element, representation of Latin American fare. We saw an opportunity with an open space at the market and decided to throw our hat in ring," Lisa said in the release.

Dos Hermanos will still maintain its mobile presence. Its stand will be located between Brezel and Omega Artisan Baking in the former Expressly Bakery space.
