Welcome to the Hotel LeVeque

Located in the 90-year-old LeVeque Tower, this newest addition to Marriott International's Autograph Collection Hotels is an anomaly in the city's center.

Predominate in the lobby, perhaps, is an 800-pound gold, abstract sculpture hanging from the ceiling. Everything—from the uniforms of the employees to the furniture in the lobby—screams old Hollywood glamour. Columbus fashion designer, Liz Bourgeois, created the uniforms.

Back when the LeVeque was built in 1927 it was the fifth-tallest building in the world, and the tallest between New York City and Chicago. At its opening, the tower held 600 hotel rooms to accompany the 400 that were in the then-attached Deshler Hotel, which was located at the current One Columbus building on the corner of Broad and High streets.

The terra cotta art deco-style of the LeVeque stood the test of time, making it strikingly unique along the Columbus skyline. On the mezzanine of the building there is an upscale restaurant and bar/lounge area that is open to the public as well as the building's residents and guests.

The Keep, a restaurant and bar headed by chef Jonathan Olson (formerly of Latitude 41), will feature French-American cuisine and a Prohibition-style speakeasy-themed atmosphere. The bar is now open, while the restaurant is expected to open in July. The mezzanine and second floor also include 1,800 square feet divided among three event spaces.

There are 149 hotel guest rooms between the fifth and 10th floors in the 47-story skyscraper. Other floors in the building are accommodating finished apartments, and condominium spaces are currently under construction. The hotel will also offer a full service, in-house spa, a first among Downtown hotels.
