Simple ways to know which side of the car the gas tank is on

If you ever drive a different vehicle or a rental car-you know what a hassle it is to figure out which side of the pump to pull up to. Here is the trick: Look for a small triangle pointing either to the right or to the left of the gas pump icon. The direction the arrow is pointing is the side of the vehicle that bears the fuel door.

Combine exercise with play time

When the kids are begging to go outside, let them. Go on a walk, play Mother May I, get active! Then you won't have to worry about squeezing in that 30 minutes on the treadmill.

Use pets to wake up the kids

Our 5-year-old loves animals, especially her kitten, Shiloh. I get Shiloh and put him onto my daughter's bed in the morning. He purrs and rubs against her until she wakes up to pet him. It not only wakes her up, but she wakes up in a good mood!
