Launched just last month, is the first and only community for aunts: aunties by relation (ABR), aunties by choice (ABC), mommy aunties, great aunts, godmothers, and all women who love kids. enables and empowers Aunts to exchange ideas, get advice, find gifts and connect with other Savvy Aunties. The first to offer forums, groups, blogs, an auntiepedia and other social tools designed uniquely for Aunties, gives aunts a unique and modern approach to learn, connect, share and celebrate aunt-hood.

OK, that's the 'official' communication. Unofficially, this site is meant for all you ladies who are totally mad for your nieces or nephews, friends' kids, whatever.and you just want a place online where you can talk about them (and yes totally show them off!) and feel safe to ask questions about kids, their health, nutrition, even what they're into these days without having to go to a mom and feel unsavvy!

It's simple. Moms and dads have their own sites. There's like a galaxy of them (you're on one!). And sure, they're packed with great information, but sometimes you may not feel at home there. It feels like we're trespassing or something. is for us. Sure, aunties who are also moms are more than welcome. This club is inclusive of all women who love kids and want the very best for them.

You can create a profile, pen a blog, seek advice through forums and read stories about aunts. You also can find friends on the site, or find activities for the next time you're with your nieces and nephews-all broken down into activity categories.

So which stylish aunties do we aspire to be? Beyonc is an aunt by relation (ABR) to her nephew. Kathy Griffin is an ABR and often refers to her niece and nephew on her show, The D List. Jennifer Aniston is an aunt by choice (ABC) and godmother to Courteney Cox Arquette's little girl, Coco. Julie Roberts is a mommy-auntie to her niece Julia (mommy-aunties are mommies too). And then there are the fictitious ABRs and ABCs, like Carrie Bradshaw to Miranda Hobbs' and Charlotte York's kids in Sex and the City. And the list goes on and on....

No excuses, aunties. There's a reason to take your sis or bro's kids and give those poor parents a night out! Now you'll know just what to do.
