Sleeper hold

Week in review

Dallas may be coming unglued. A loss to the Redskins, a close call with the Bengals and then the Cards hand them one.

Here come the Colts. The Ravens offense is crap, but the D should have kept this one reasonably close. It didn't.

The Rams pulled one off against the Skins in D.C. No stellar numbers, though, for St. Louis players. Well, except for K Josh Brown.

Freaky Monday. QBs Eli Manning and Derek Anderson seemingly changed places. Remember when we said to look at QBs in the draft? Have you seen the top scorers in your league? Bet most of them are signal callers.

Who to Start

All Chargers, all Saints. They score lots, and have trouble stopping people. And they have the two top QBs, to boot.

Can Chad Pennington put together three good games in a row? He plays the Ravens D, who had a rough time in Indy, as mentioned above. Unless you have a much better option, he could be a sleeper. By the way, why do we call them sleepers when we expect them to do well?

With QB Tony Romo's thumb on the fritz, be weary of Cowboy receivers. RBs Felix Jones and Marion Barber, however, may see more action.

Waiver Wire Watch

Correll Buckhalter may be available in your league. Though on a bye this week, with Brian Westbrook ailing, he's not a bad grab for down the road. Is RB Patrick Cobbs the new flavor in Miami? He's third string, but keep an eye on him. WR Malcolm Floyd could be seeing more looks from red-hot QB Phillip Rivers.
