Upon polling our staff, we all agree that the coolest thing about Halloween was coming home after a long night of trick-or-treating, dumping the candy haul out on the living room floor and combing through our candy treasure. (We anal ones may even have sorted it). We might be too old to trick-or-treat (maybe not?), but we can still remember the favorite things we found in our graying Hello Kitty or Spiderman pillow cases.

Skittles Taste the rainbow? Yes we will!

M&M's Plain or peanut, we love these tiny chocolate treats.

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups A few minutes in the fridge or freezer and these little morsels are heaven. Even if you can't wait that long, they're still heaven.

Candy corn A seasonal classic that is still just as good a sugar rush when you find the last of the stash in February.

Blow Pops As I write this, two out of three of us are munching on these. Memories

Sugar Daddies This thick stick of caramel would last for days-in our teeth.

Good & Plenty These fashion-forward pink and white candies made a licorice statement of the yummiest kind.

Wax lips Not a candy, but oh so fun.

The old lady who hands out full-size candy bars We all had one and we loved her. A nice, perhaps widowed old woman who seemed to take pure pleasure in watching our faces light up when she produced not bite-size, but full-size nirvana. We hope there's still one on every kid's block. Try the Richie Rich neighborhoods.

Now go forth and raid those trick-or-treat bags!
