Ohio State's rivalry with the state up north often overshadows its longstanding feud with another pesky powerhouse. The Trojans' 35-3 whooping of the Bucks last year means you need to ante up the spirit like never before when USC visits the 'Shoe on Saturday. To do so, here are some events surrounding this season's marquee match.

Martini Park Tailgate Party

Location: Martini Park, Easton

Doors: 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11

The first of this adult playground's football parties will fill an adjacent lot with a giant outdoor television, five cornhole courts and live music from The Danger Brothers.

Rivalry Nights

Location: Ohio Expo Center, Campus

The Ohio Expo Center will be the first stop on this smorgasbord tour, which will feature drifting demos, street basketball games, busty models and live music from Hank Williams Jr.

"College GameDay"

Location: Ohio Stadium, Campus

ESPN's flagship broadcast will come to Columbus to witness the pre-game mania. The show airs at 10 a.m., but scarlet crowds will be there long before that.

Across the Field Bash

Admission: Free

Doors: 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12

The newest giant tailgate blowout, held at the corner of Olentangy River and Ackerman roads, will feature live music from The Danger Brothers, food by Roosters and lots of suds and spirits.

Location: Thirsty "I," Campus

Doors: 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12

At this new location on Lane Avenue, just a few blocks west of its former home at the Holiday Inn, the classic Buckeye party lives on with two giant screens, food and bountiful beer.

No location changes. No confusing names. Just another season of good times with bands, beers and plenty of Buckeye goodies.

Behind Enemy Lines

Want to know where not to go this weekend? News from the rival camp has leaked to Alive from the Southern Cal alumni site. Trojans will be meeting from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Renaissance Hotel Downtown. Then, with a bit more moxie, they'll be congregating Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Fawcett Center on Campus.
