Tracey's unique method of yoga fuses music, heat (the class is about 90 degrees), endurance, strength, breathing and stretching all in one fast-paced, heart-pumping-out-of-your-chest, sweat-dripping-off-your-nose, endorphin rush hour!

She begins with a warm up, followed by an intense regimen that builds upon movements, so you add on step by step (kind of like learning a dance routine) and then she brings you back down while maintaining a steady pace so you don't reach a full relaxation mode. If relaxation and chanting "OHM" appeals to you, then I would suggest looking elsewhere because Tracey's method of yoga, to put it bluntly, will kick you in the rear, but in a very good way.

Tracey guides you through every movement, reminding you to breathe, to take breaks if you need to (I most definitely did) and to always do things at your own pace and rate. Her class nicely blends high impact yoga, great music and a laid back atmosphere that will make you come back for more!

Classes are held at the New Albany Ballet Company. Drop in rate is $12, or you can buy a 10-class package for $100. For more information, visit www.traceygarneryoga.com.
