Efforts to help victims of the Haiti earthquake stretch across the globe. Locally, you can help out at several weekend events. Thursday, the American Red Cross of Greater Columbus and personalities from numerous Columbus TV, radio and print media outlets (everyone from NBC 4 and CD101 to the Dispatch and Alive) will be taking drive-through donations at the Ohio Historical Society.

Two benefit concerts on Friday let you contribute to the relief effort while enjoying extraordinary lineups. Ravari Room rounded up Two Cow Garage, Phantods, The Saturday Giant, Josh Rea and Roseanne Claiborne of Wing & Tusk, The Compressions, Sleepers Awake, The George Elliot Underground, Wet Darlings, The Slang and Lydia Loveless for a $5 show, with all proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders.

And the King Arts Complex will host a $10-a-ticket fundraiser for the Red Cross with performances from the Flex Crew, Le for the Uncool, Speak Williams, Barbara Fant, Fly.Union, The Liquid Crystal Project and Carlotta Penn, with Javier Sanchez emceeing.
