Brutus Buckeye

Was there really any question who'd win here? Sorry, Stinger. Brutus has been No. 1 in our hearts since he first graced the 'Shoe's sidelines, during the 1965 homecoming game against Minnesota. The creation of alumni Ray Bourhis and Sally Huber, Brutus has undergone some major aesthetic changes over the years - he was originally a giant papier-mache buckeye head with legs. Very short legs. It wasn't until the fall of 1981 that the current, more athletic Brutus took shape. In 2007, the best damn mascot in the land joined the San Diego Chicken and the Philly Phanatic in the Mascot Hall of Fame. Go Bucks!
