Alive's Cocktail Contest: Swing State Fizz

Staff Writer
Columbus Alive

Imaginative mixologist Vivian Loh took her inspiration from Ohio's longtime status as a crucial swing state in elections. As she puts it: "This cocktail will please even the most liberal of drinkers, yet with its conservative flavors, it's bound to sway members of any party."

Loh's delicious (and strong!) fizzy drink incorporates Jeni's ice cream, a beloved hometown favorite. She chose the Plum Cassis Lambic Sorbet, which she feels is an underappreciated heavy hitter from the Jeni's lineup.

Rounding out this tasty rum drink is Loh's "secret ingredient," a hibiscus syrup made by The Lounging Gourmet, a Cleveland line.
