Vacant apartments at 1407 and 1415 N. Fourth St. will be razed to make way for single-family homes as part of the Weinland Park Collaborative's larger vision to revitalize the neighborhood directly east of Campus.

Though delayed by an asbestos problem, demolition is expected to start early next week, said Erin Prosser, spokeswoman for Campus Partners.

In addition to Campus Partners, the Weinland Park Collaborative includes City of Columbus and Franklin County officials, as well as numerous private organizations. Its mission focuses on housing, workforce development, public safety and education.
