The No. 21 bus will extend its late-night route into German Village and the Brewery District when the Central Ohio Transit Authority institutes services changes on Monday, Jan. 3.

Also known as the Night Owl, the bus will run south to Sycamore Street, continue west to South Front Street and rejoin South High Street via West Livingston Avenue.

"Over time, we've had various customer comments, calls and e-mails asking when and if we're going to extend it clear down to German Village," COTA spokeswoman Elizabeth Berkemer said. "We were able to do it this time and get the drivers and the buses down there."

Currently, the No. 21 runs from 7:40 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays between Whetstone Park in Clintonville and the northern edge of Downtown. Timetables will be adjusted slightly for the new route.
