Geckos at COSI

They're heeeeere! Well, almost here. The fantastic new gecko exhibit (a.k.a. "Geckos: Tails to Toepads") at COSI opens on Friday and runs through May 8. Learn all about their sticky toepads, bulging night-vision eyes, camouflaging capabilities, squawking voices and, yes, even their disposable body parts! As part of the exhibit, you get to meet Giant Day Geckos, Giant Frog Eyed Geckos, Fan Fingered Geckos, Chinese Cave Geckos, Jewel Day Geckos and even the unfortunately named Skunk Geckos.

COSI is located at 333 W. Broad St. in downtown Columbus. Normally closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, they will be open next Monday, Jan. 17. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays through Saturdays, and 12 noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Admission rates are kind of all over the map depending on whether you're a member or if you want to see more than just the exhibits, but one excellent deal is the Family Friday Night on the last Friday of each month, when admission is just $8 for all ages, 2 and up, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
