Bar L'Etranger

If Tim Burton directed a bar, it would look a lot like Bar L'Etranger. The upscale martini joint is whimsical and a little curious, like the comfy corner of a time-twisted dream that seems familiar but isn't quite. Call it broke-down baroque: Mismatched side tables cradle cocktails between rococo couches and ornately embroidered chairs fit for a Sun King. It's a lot like that time you woke up in 18th-century France with an absinthe hangover, but with free valet parking.
