An arts organization imperiled by labor disputes in 2008 has reached a new contract with employees six months ahead of schedule.

The Columbus Symphony Board, Columbus Symphony Orchestra Committee and Central Ohio Federation of Musicians Local 103 agreed to a four-year contract that includes salary increases and an extra week of guaranteed employment each year.

The new contract takes effect Sept. 1.
