Best Climbing Wall: Scioto Audubon Metro Park

A 94-acre Metro Park and the interactive nature center built on top of it preserved the crucial wildlife habitat on the Whittier Peninsula. It's now a place where city folk can learn about the natural world so often obscured by buildings and concrete.

Sweetening this conservation project is the largest free outdoor climbing wall in the country - a 35-foot rock replica with tons of holds, quality bouldering problems and routes that run up and across a killer natural arch. If you've got your own ropes and equipment, there's hardly a better spot in Ohio to ascend.
